Lawn Mowing “Mow It!”
Islanders lawn mowing services can include weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly mowing, trimming, edging (when needed), curbs and driveways, and blowing off parking, walkways and hard surfaces of clippings, and clipping removal off property. Select regular maintenance programs are available with our Mow It packages.
With lawn care in Nanaimo and Parksville, Aeration is a big part of the services we provide. Aeration is where holes are placed into the lawn or where plugs are pulled from the lawn, that it allows the lawn to breathe, which then in turn allows oxygen, water, and nutrients to get deep into the soil where they are needed. This helps foster a deeper, denser root system to repel weeds better and become more drought tolerant. Oh, and did we mention how much greener and healthier it becomes.
De-thatching
When it comes to de-thatching, Islanders can answer the call. This is the process where through hand tools or machines are used to lift and remove the dead layer of grass, which holds down new growth, repels water, and absorbs the nutrients before they get to the roots.
Sod Installations
At Islanders Outdoor Maintenance, we do Sod Installation like it should be done. We include everything in our packages, from your old lawn removal, carefully leveling the ground and not to mention installing your brand-new Sod. Islanders only use premium Sod grown and specifically designed for our climates here on Vancouver Island and is also grub resistant. If you would like to do the preparation yourself, we will just install the new sod for you only.

Seeding/Over-Seeding
When is comes to over seeding your lawn, Island Outdoor Maintenance can help! Over-seeding is the process and practice of seeding your lawn and this is done for a few different reasons, mostly to keep your lawn with minimal weeds and looking green and healthy. The best time to over seed is early fall during the first few rains, otherwise in the Spring as there is still plenty of moisture.
